Bible Project with Tim Mackie

Tim Mackie is the writer and director of a video series undertaking entitled the Bible Project. He is a Bible professor at a Bible seminary (Western Theological Seminary) and a pastor, which is baffling to me. He was joined by Jon Collins to complete the project.

I found many blasphemous errors in these videos, even though I only viewed a few.

This presentation should grieve the hearts of true discerning believers. All born again Christians need to plead to God for spiritual discernment in all things in this day and age of the apostasy of the church. They need to put on the heart of the Bereans … truly scrutinizing all verses without any doubts or man-made interpretations which contradict God’s Words or make light of His dictates.

No one who questions will stop God’s judgment falling on this sin-filled earth where the unsaved persist in perversity and nastiness.

Despite the declaration of the producers of this project, it is of utmost importance to own the cognizance to fear and tremble before Almighty God. False doctrine explains it is not genuine fear as I heard in one of the Bible Project videos.

Condemnation falls on all false, liberal, contemporary teachers who mislead God’s people. Such teachers rewrite the Scriptures with no fear of God, to the delight of the men-pleasers.

Philippians 2:12-13: “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” And these words are true to the original Greek language.

2 Corinthians chapter 5, verse 11—“Knowing the terror of the LORD we persuade men …” In the Greek, the word means to “strike terror or dread.”

To research the original word in its transcript of the Greek, please click on this website link:

You note “Terror” means “Terror” and you can see it is the same word used in 2 Corinthians 5:11 if you scroll down the page.

False, demonic teachers will say we simply reverence God. Yes, we do reverence Him, but we are to fear and tremble before him too. In the book of Job, chapter 37, God explains the thunder in a storm is His voice. He is the creator and originator of the earth and causes the sun to rise every day and every flower to bloom and offer a pleasant scent.

The Bible explains violent volcanos should cause us to fear God as well … He is the one who invokes the peaks to smoke and magma to flow. He is the only One who is truly omnipotent.

Psalm 104:31: “May the glory of the Lord endure forever; May the Lord rejoice in His works. 32 He looks on the earth, and it trembles; He touches the hills, and they smoke. 33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.”

Deuteronomy 4:11: “And you came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.” And Deuteronomy 5:23 “And it came to pass, when you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that you came near unto me (God), even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders (of Israel) …”

Nahum 1:5-6: “The mountains quake at Him (Almighty God), and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at His presence, yes, the world, and all that dwell therein. 6 Who can stand before His indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by Him.”

Regarding the teaching of Revelation in the Bible Project, we must understand the book of Revelation is to be literally consumed in our hearts as John the apostle consumed it in his belly. What is stated in the video regarding Revelation is blasphemous to the truth of the book and to God. Here is one instance: The video does not stand on the fact the 144,000 Jews, who will arrive during the tribulation, are male virgins acquired from each tribe of Israel.

The Bible Project narrator, when teaching regarding the 144,000, states something to the effect, the men represent the ethnic groups of all nations. The developers rewrite the Bible in this instance. It must be remembered God’s condemnation falls on anyone who adds or subtracts from Scripture—Revelation 22:19 and Deuteronomy 4:2. They actually rewrite Revelation to their own sinful desires. They truly own no fear of God; though, of course, they do not believe in fearing God in the first place.

And these holy, Jewish men, the 144,000, will never compromise in any way with the Word of God. (Read Revelation chapters 7 and 14) They will not make the Bible contemporary or styling with any wicked, demonic culture which teaches the opposite of Scripture. They will never tell lies nor try to deceive. “These are they that were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they that follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were purchased from among men, to be the first-fruits to God and to the Lamb. 5.  And in their mouth was found no lie: they are without blemish.” (Revelation 14:4-5)

These Jewish, godly men, the 144,000, will walk in a completely holy and upright manner, never complying with any evil, sinful or sensual way. They will be ones who hate the world’s vile entertainment!

It is all going to come to pass during the tribulation period when these 144,000 walk the earth and are later martyred for hating idolatrous religions that worship idols and engage in societal sensuality.

Revelation surrounds Israel and God’s judgment on the world which is orchestrated by satan and he longs for Israel’s destruction.

The Bible explains in the last days the Jews, as a whole, will eventually come to follow their Savior.

When the Bible project narrator introduces the book of Revelation, he does not state John is the one who penned God’s Words. Though anyone who studies the books of John will not dispute John the Apostle is the penner of these truths. No other John of this time period is listed in Scripture, and no other John would be worthy to record this book, he being one of the twelve apostles, and the Bible commands we abide in all the teachings of the apostles and those of Christ—they are all God-breathed. Plus, John was one who wrote to churches and no other John wrote to the churches in inspired script.

Moving on, the commentator does not emphasize how God would bring judgment on the five churches if they did not repent. He makes it sound like Rome did. For instance, in the realm of the woman dubbed “Jezebel” for her unchastity, God was to be the harbinger of judgement, not Rome: Revelation 2:22—“Indeed I (God) will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23—I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.” And it is God the Son who would remove the candlesticks or lampstands of the five churches found to be in error and not living obediently according to the Words of God. Plus, it is He who bears the two-edged sword and is the One equipped to judge compromising fellowships.

The tribulation arises, after the church age, being God’s verdict on sinful, unrepentant men. The church goes off-the-air at the conclusion of chapter 3 and God remains silent regarding the church until John is commanded to have these letters read to the seven churches at the conclusion of Revelation.

The narrator also lies and says, John obtains his Revelations from Old Testament prophets. What a tarradiddle of blasphemy! Every word he writes is what Jesus Christ is telling him and as John observes. And the Old Testament writers who also explained the apocalypse received every Word from God, not others. The book with the 7 seals, will be opened only by Christ, as He wrote it and is worthy. (Revelation chapter 5) Christ supplied Daniel as His scribe. It is Christ’s words recorded by Daniel and we note a portion of the prophecies scribed by Daniel were sealed, and so stated at the conclusion of Daniel. Daniel 12:9 “He said, ‘Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time. 10 Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.’ ”

This narrator is trying to belittle the omnipotency of God and the Bible! It is the apostasy that has consumed most of our churches today. God warned of the apostasy of the last days and how the church would turn away from all sound doctrines and want to be trending with this satanic world.

He does not emphasize the Bible, rightly translated, is inerrant, immutable, holy, and the Words of God, and not men. Though God used men as instruments to pen His Words.

Remember, false prophets always teach some truth and then add satanic error.

And we do know Revelation’s three sets of judgments—seals, trumpets and bowls of wrath—could not have already unraveled, despite the narrator implying it could have occurred in the past, referencing the judgments to arrive on the globe. Nowhere in history has these catastrophic events transpired, including the destruction of a third of the earth. We have not witnessed satan creating a talking idol, whereby all the world worships the talking idol so they will not surrender their lives! And this is how many believers around the world will forfeit their lives, refusing to commit idolatry; thereby, refusing allegiance to the religious antichrist.

The commentator also explains we do not know why the Christian martyrs of the world die. Of course, we know, they will not deny Jesus Christ under the world rulership of the two antichrists or beasts (the religious and the political) we see in Revelation. They will refuse the mark of the religious antichrist. Though God, through Daniel, provides four beasts or antichrists during the end times, being more detailed with the men of satan who will arise in power in their kingdoms. (Daniel chapter 7)

Also, the narrator lies when he states, the Jerusalem temple will not be placed in the hands of the Gentiles when the Jews are made to flee. This when the pagan nations seize Jerusalem under the antichrist’s power. Of course, all this will transpire and the narrator cannot stop it. Additionally, the passage never states the temple is destroyed as the narrator explains. Please read and study Revelation chapter 11. Only God knows if it will be destroyed at this time. We do know Jesus Christ will build the final temple, most likely the fourth as explained in Zechariah 6:12-13. Christ is the Messiah and “THE BRANCH.”

This man, the narrator, is obviously trying to please the apostates and evil Calvinists who hate the chosen Jews and create fiction, declaring the church has replaced all the promises to the Jews. Even though God declares, the Jews will all be saved (Romans 11:26) and Revelation confirms this further.

Additional falsehoods are presented regarding the two Jewish witnesses, knowing they will forfeit their lives and be resurrected to life through the resurrection power of God Almighty. It is clear as the light of Christ is clear! How can the creators of the Bible Project be entirely blasphemous? Satan’s children do appear as angels of light and they are out to discredit the Bible.

The presenter presses on with his inventions of untruth in the videos and states the nations’ repent. No, they do not. Only a remnant of the nations repent. The majority follow satan’s beasts or antichrists and these disobedient idolators will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity with satan. (Revelation chapter 20)

One key verse, which was never mentioned by the narrator is Revelation 21:8—“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” How deadly sad not to warn of God’s arriving judgment upon mankind.

Christ will murder all His earthly enemies before He takes His throne in Jerusalem (Revelation chapter 19, 2 Thessalonians chapter 1, Psalm chapter 2, etc.), reigning over the nation Israel; whereby, He will rule the entire subservient globe. And at that time, 10 Gentiles (those of various Gentile nations) will grab the garment of a Jew and request to go and worship with him for they will say, “We have heard God is with you.” (Zechariah 8:23)

I must inquire, how can these authors possess the Holy Spirit within? True believers comprehend the Bible never lies and you cannot make Revelation a book that is not bringing eternal, fiery judgment on a sinful earth.

I cover all of this in by book, Revelation the Explanation—

Moving on, I also did not hear it emphasized in the videos, Jesus, the Son of God, being the Creator of the heaven and the earth and the Bible proclaiming His Words, not men’s. He is the Word of God. He is the Bible become flesh. (Colossians chapter 1, John chapter 1 and 1 John chapter 1, Revelation chapter 19, etc.)

When the Bible Project presents the Matthew video, the narrator states this book is revealing a “New Moses” for the people of God. This is another untruth. Jesus Christ arrives as God Almighty, not a mere man and certainly not a new sinful Moses. And Christ Jesus, the Son of God, is not simply “a new authoritative teacher.” It is He who created the heavens and the earth and has no beginning or end.

The Bible teaches us no writer wrote on his own accord. (2 Peter 1:20—knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21—for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.)

The book of Proverbs, within this project presentation, is also in error when the presenters make a big thing about wisdom being “she.” In the original Hebrew, there is no she or her who represents wisdom. This feminine pronoun is what the translators wrongly added to the texts. So similar to ships and storms being called “she.” And these so-called Bible scholars manufacture this entire case of Proverbs about this woman who represents wisdom, but “she or her” is not in the original Hebrew texts.

If you type in Proverbs 2, in the first box at this link and hit “search” or your enter key, you can research the Hebrew:

You will see there is no number beside “she or her” when it comes to wisdom, meaning it was added by the translators. It would be a good thing if churches taught Greek and Hebrew to Christians so they are not so reliant on Bible translations or teachers. Or at least know how to investigate and locate the words in the original languages.

The Bible is not a book of fables and jokes. Yet, many are making it out to be; those who are devoid of the Holy Spirit.

All presented by this project is disheartening to the body of Christ. I only watched a few videos, as stated above, though I am sure I could detect many errors if I listened to the entire series.

Romans 10:9-10 from the Bible: “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
