John MacArthur’s False Teachings and Pornography

Jesus Christ put His trust in no man as He knew what was in man (John 2:24-25)
Dear readers,
I am sharing my letter regarding Dr. John F. MacArthur. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider.

Dear ———

I trust you are being blessed today. In this day and age of antichrists we must be so careful of whom we listen to. The apostasy is grave!

I want you to know, I am calling John MacArthur a false teacher. I will not turn my back on Jesus Christ and not call him a heretic. If I would not stand before you regarding this, I know I would be denying my Savior. Anyone who blasphemes the blood of Christ, is a wicked, vile, false teacher. This blood dissociation fact would hurt and anger any true believer who truly has been born again and washed in the precious blood of Christ. Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins!!!!

Hebrews 9:14 “How much more shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause, He is the mediator of the new testament”… This is what the communion table is all about. 1 John 1:7 states the blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin.

Yes, John MacArthur is a false, wicked teacher!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._MacArthur

From Wikipedia:
…The controversy concerning the efficacy of the blood stems from MacArthur’s statement that it is not the literal liquid blood of Christ that saves, but his sacrificial death on the cross, a view that he espoused in an article titled, “Not His Bleeding, but His Dying,” published in the May 1976 issue of the Grace to You family paper that is distributed to his church.
______

MacArthur proclaims the blood of Christ “could not save” and “it was not the FLUID that saved us, it was the DEATH of Christ.”

Ten years later, in a letter to Tim Weidlich, MacArthur stated:

“Obviously, it was not the blood of Jesus that saves or He could have bled for us without dying. It was His death for sin that saves. When Romans 3:25 speaks of ‘faith in His blood’ everyone understands that to be a reference to His death — not the blood running through His body. In Romans 5:9, being ‘justified by His blood’ also refers to His death, as verse 10 makes clear in saying ‘we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son.’ In fact, the careful explanation of salvation in Romans 6 omits any reference to His blood at all. The point is that the shedding of blood was just the visible indication of His death, His life being poured out. … I admit that because of some traditional hymns there is an emotional attachment to the blood — but that should not pose a problem when one is dealing with theological or textual specificity. I can sing hymns about the blood and rejoice with them — but I understand that reference to be a metonym for His death.”

On page 237 of John MacArthur’s commentary on Hebrews, he states that it is “not Jesus’ physical blood that saves us, but His dying on our behalf.” In a letter to Mr. Tim Weidlich, dated April 4, 1986, MacArthur wrote, “Obviously, it was not the blood of Jesus that saves or He could have bled for us without dying. …Yes, the blood of Christ is precious – but as precious as it is – it could not save.”

MacArthur is clear, “Nothing in his human blood saves. His shed blood represents his sacrificial death for us.” (Grace to You”, 1976)

Regarding Paul’s Conversion:

From MacArthur’s Website:
http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/90-296

John MacArthur:

“Now this becomes very clear throughout the Scripture, not just Romans 8. So I want to do a little Bible study with you, go back to Romans 1 and I think you’re going to enjoy this, and it’s going to stretch you into a wonderful new category of understanding. Paul … Romans 1:1, “A bondservant of Christ Jesus, called as an Apostle, set apart for the gospel of God.” He’s a good one to look at for this kind of call because when the call of God came on the life of the Apostle Paul, it was a sovereign divine gracious and irresistible summons. He was slammed in to the dirt on the road to Damascus with nothing to do but respond, he is called as an Apostle. Down in verse 6 he’s talking about the obedience of faith in verse 5, obeying the gospel, among whom you also are the called. You are the called ones of Jesus Christ to all who are beloved of God in Rome, called saints, called holy ones. You are the called, the holy ones, the ones called out.

Look at 1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 1, again “Paul called an Apostle.” He doesn’t mean that’s his title, he means he was called by God, by the will of God to be an Apostle of Jesus Christ. And again, it wasn’t something that he could resist. Verse 2, “To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling.” So whatever this calling is, it makes you a saint. In Romans 8 it justifies you. Here it sanctifies you. And down in verse 9, “God is faithful through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” You were called into the fellowship that you enjoy with the Lord Jesus Christ, called by God. Over in verse 23, “We preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, to Gentiles foolishness, but to those who are…here it is again…the called both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.” Now follow this. If you are among the called, then when Christ crucified is preached, He becomes to you the power of God and the wisdom of God. To the Jews a stumbling block, to the Gentiles it’s foolishness, but to the called whether Jew or Gentile, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God…Paul understood that he was just grabbed by the neck by God and awakened to the glory of Christ and saved and made an Apostle…”

______

I, Val, must reveal, nowhere does the Bible state Paul was grabbed by the neck and was slammed in the dirt. This is a lie! This sounds most hateful like a newly enlisted soldier saying, “Yes, sir,” because he has no choice after being slapped around by his sergeant.

Paul saw the light and fell to the earth that is what Scripture states; it cannot be added to or subtracted from (Acts 9:3-4). God did not grab Him by the neck and slam him to the earth. This is horrendous blasphemy! To say he had no choice is wrong.

Paul, at this point wanted to choose to follow Christ and He did. He fell in love with the Savior and chose to follow.

Yes, Paul was chosen, but he also chose. He had a free will. He was not a robot. God wooed him to Himself, he was not grabbed by the neck by a god who makes us bend at the knee without a choice. I have witnessed people come to Christ. They do not act like they are being grabbed by the neck and lose all their normal reasoning. It is clear that they are loved to Christ and therefore choose Him.

It is not because we have no choice because God is mean to His children. God woos us onto Himself and we choose Him. We can take no credit, positively. We are saved by His loving grace, acknowledging He removes the blindness of doubt and unbelief from our heart so we see the truth and receive Him.

It seems Dr. MacArthur contradicts his own free will statements regarding salvation. He presents no free will with Paul: “And again, it wasn’t something that he (Paul) could resist.”

Below is a later statement in this same sermon which appears to contradict what he presented with Paul. He says, he does believe in free will and no one came to Christ because they were coerced:

“Well all of that is really needless because that’s not what Scripture says. No one was ever saved against their will. No one was ever brought into the Kingdom kicking and screaming, protesting. No one was ever saved who was dragged against the grain of having dug their heels in. That is not what Scripture teaches. No one has ever been saved against his will, no one ever will be. Everybody who is saved is saved because they will to believe the gospel. In fact, they will with all their heart and soul to believe the gospel. No one is ever saved without being willing. It is an act of the will to believe. The question is, what made them willing? Or better, who made them willing? Was it them? Was it the preacher? That’s what we would have to conclude in that kind of system. Somehow it’s them in the end and somehow though they were not willing they became willing, they found…they found somewhere they could get a hold of a boot strap and pull themselves up out of unwillingness into willingness. Or the preacher smashed their resistance and by his preaching he made them willing.”

John MacArthur’s heresy regarding Christ the Son:

John MacArthur teaches that although Jesus is eternal, He is not the eternal Son of God. He writes, “Son is an incarnational title of Christ. It is an analogy to say that God is Father and Jesus is Son … God’s way of helping us understand the essential relationship between the first and second persons of the Trinity … Christ was not a Son until His incarnation.” (Commentary to the Hebrews, pp. 27, 28)

MacArthur is a false teacher. We wrote to Mr. Weidlich:

“Regarding the Sonship of Jesus. I am only concerned to explain the meaning of Hebrews 1:5. If there was a time when the second member of the Trinity became a son, was begotten; and if the use of the future shall be to me a Son;’ then there must have been a time when He was not.”

Now, consider what the Scriptures teach. These expose the lies of MacArthur:

Psalm 2 refers to God the Son twice “Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, unless He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled.” The Son of God is referred to in Daniel 3:25 when Christ appeared in the furnace. And of course, we all know Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6, “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a SON, and shall call his name Immanuel (meaning ‘God with us’)”  “For unto us a child is born, unto us a SON is given: … and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

______

I have to ask, why does John MacArthur speak for Israel on the one hand, and on the other hand he participates in Bible Conferences with false teacher, R. C. Sproul, and other false Reformed men? These men despise dispensationalism and refuse to believe in Christ’s millennial rule on the earth, when He will reign in Jerusalem and all of Israel will be saved. Reformed men strongly teach that Israel has no future at all, there will be no millennial kingdom, most prophecies were fulfilled in 70 A.D. and that we should approach the prophetic Scriptures in a non-literal way.

Like most hidden Calvinists today, these men will say, “Israel has some future” and will leave it at that. They often want to sneak in their teaching so they place a little bit of heretical error, in a large amount truth, to slowly deceive.

Why does John MacArthur hate the world dispensationalist if he is truly Jewish-friendly? I know Calvinists lie and are deceitful, just as their god Calvin lied and deceived.

This is all crazy to me. You can’t speak out of both sides of your mouth. All that is needed, is for the Scripture to be read word by word, verse by verse. God made it simple. Everything in the Word explains God’s Word. No complicated, forked-tongue theologian is needed. People like John MacArthur like to complicate the Word of God so they sound deeply intelligent or so it seems. What they do is change the Word, and this is not allowed! His commentaries remind me of Calvin who always complicated and changed God’s Word. MacArthur is different from Calvin in some of his teaching, but his style very much resembles Calvin.

The Bible makes it clear we are to have no association with false teachers.

______

John MacArthur is Pornographic:

John MacArthur and His Master’s College know how to take part in the arriving great harlot of the book of Revelation by standing with pornography, through their video department, and vividly exposed through their chorale rock group, “Triple Fist Kiss.” In their “Empire State of Chorale” video on YouTube, they are blazingly pornographic with sexy dance, female immodesty and immoral words that are attached to vile rock music. (No man should watch this. My godly husband will not watch it.) This video is certainly pornographic in the eyes of Jesus Christ who is pure, undefiled, innocent, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; Hebrews 7:26. More and More Bible churches are placing pornography right on their stages.

The state of the church today certainly causes a prudish believer to wonder, “How much longer until the rapture of the church?”

Today, it is the prude believers who are church disciplined, simply because they stand for purity and separation.

Love to you in Christ who never lied in His Holy Word, and shed His precious blood that men might be saved!

You can see for yourself, John MacArthur has no problem with the sexy rock beat, as it is set ablaze at his Resolved Conference:

PS  Below is a letter that was sent to me from Grace Bible Church of Burbank, California regarding most of the above information. They desired my writings until I sent forth this information. I learned this was the church of John MacArthur’s father, Dr. Jack MacArthur, and where John MacArthur served as an assistance pastor.  His heart is glued to this church and the pastors are glued to him and his teachings.  He is one who can do no wrong in their eyes. This fellowship believes his fanatical, apostate teachings supersede Scripture as you can see through this letter:

Val,

Unfortunately, I do not agree with you and neither do my pastors and elders. Please check the Scriptures again and strongly consider the issue at hand before slandering a great expositor of God’s Word like John MacArthur.

Please remove me from your email distribution list.

Thank you.

Here are verses regarding how Christians are to judge: Christ, in John 7:24, teaches we to judge according to righteousness sake, not appearance.  2 Corinthians 5:9f commands we judge the church. Herein, we note we are not to associate with believers who are sexually immoral, who worship idols (such as Catholics who claim to be Christians), those who covet things, those who take advantage of others financially, those who get drunk, etc. We are not even allowed to eat with such ones. The Bible also warns us to judge so we do not place ourselves under false teachers—2 Peter chapter 3, the book of Jude, 2 and 3 John.

Dr. John MacArthur regarding mark of the beast. Please listen:

http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/audio/macarthur-take-mark.mp3

MacArthur states in this audio portion that those who take the mark of the beast can still be saved; minus any vocal hesitation on his part.

This is what the inerrant Word of God declares:

Revelation 13:6-8 “And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven. It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.”

Revelation 14:9-11: “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever, and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and who receives the mark of his name.”

Revelation 20:4 “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them. And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

No attached waiver is presented in these texts regarding the mark of the beast to appease the compromisers of this world who already pledge their allegiance to men who are vile and wicked … men who deny the Biblical Christ and what is penned in His inerrant Word. It was determined from the foundation of the world that only lost sinners would worship the beast!

Great wrath is promised to those who add and subtract from the Scriptures. This is witnessed in the book of Revelation, chapter 22, verses 18-19.

All of Scripture will be fulfilled—Matthew 5:18-19. Everything will be accomplished down to every jot and tittle.

It is true that multitudes from all nations will be saved during the tribulation, being verified in Revelation 6:9-11 and 7:9-14. These verses reference the tribulation martyrs. However, no one who receives the mark of the beast is promised eternal life with Christ.

The nation of Israel will be saved later in the tribulation, specifically viewed in chapter 12 of Revelation. The 144,000 male, virgin Jews who represent every tribe of Israel, confirmed in chapter 7 of Revelation, will be saved and will walk with Christ, as they will be found to be “without fault before the throne of God.” (Revelation 14:1-5)

We believers must study the Bible, being ready to compare all statements heard from so-called Christians with the inerrant Word of God.

I am grateful a reader informed me of John MacArthur’s lie. It is a disheartening thing to be living in these days of apostasy; a time in which people simply believe a man because he is a famous so-called theologian.

My book, Revelation the Explanation , explains the wondrous book of constant wonders.

* * *

Other passages regarding the mark of the beast:

Revelation 13:15-17 “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

Revelation 19:20 “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

False Doctrine Beware

Emerging/emergent spirituality is making frightening strides in Christianity today.  Whether it is emergent or emerging it means one with the world culture. Churches and Christian colleges, who may not fully understand the subtle undermining of this spirituality from the world, the flesh and the devil, are endorsing and promoting it. An event (Movement 2009) took place on May 29th at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa (the Calvary Chapel mother church) with Rock Harbor pastor, Mike Erre.

The “kingdom of God” wicked theology that Erre presents is deadly broad. Erre states that there has been too much emphasis within Christianity on individual salvation and nothing on corporate salvation (i.e.., all of the world and creation being saved). He believes God is saving “all of creation” ( as seen on page 100 in his book Death by Church). Erre exalts uncertainty and doubt (always searching, never finding). He states: “Jesus brings mystery, paradox, and tension—rarely did someone get a straight answer out of Him” (p. 36). This sounds like New Perspective mendacious theology that is in Bible churches today. I have heard it. This teaching is totally counterfeit. It is a demonic lie from the pit of hell. God is not a God of confusion and the Biblical Christ must always be followed without question. He is the Word of God and His robe is dipped in blood; Revelation 19:13. Jesus Christ must always be uplifted in an all-holy manner, not analyzed as one would an insane neighbor who does not know what he is talking about. It is blasphemy to scrutinize Jesus Christ in a questioning manner. He is the Creator of the universe and its sustainer. Every knee will someday bow before Him!

“Erre’s kingdom theology is expressed throughout his book, “Death by Church. On page 132, he states that the gospel is “something bigger” than the “story of Jesus’ dying for the private sins of individuals…. it is the story of God’s kingdom being launched, on earth as in heaven, generating a new state of affairs. Atonement, redemption, and salvation are what happen on the way.” This emerging spirituality that does not see atonement, redemption, and salvation as a moment in history when Jesus Christ died on the Cross but rather an ongoing process that is continually growing, expanding, changing (see our review of An Emergent Manifesto of Hope). Erre states that “the end of the age does not result in the destruction of the earth but rather in its renewal.” Errie states: “Rather that waiting for the last days, we have been living in them since the coming of Jesus. Rather than waiting for the end to come, we are already living in the end times that will be consummated when Jesus returns” (p. 198). And, “The end of the age does not result in the destruction of the earth but rather in its renewal” (p. 212).”

“Erre sounds very much like a New Age Episcopalian priest (like N. T. Wright and others), and when he says ‘deep theology’ he actually means ‘deep ecumenism’ (‘deep’ meaning all-inclusive). Erre spouts that all of creation is being restored and saved. This runs redundantly throughout his book.”

Of course, true born again believers know that the road to heaven is narrow and few follow it. One can only be saved by being born again through the precious shed blood of Christ that cleanses from sin. The Bible is inerrant and it must be the only teaching of the church, never the doctrines and precepts of men. Sinful man always desires to become a god unto himself, according to what he thinks, has experienced or others have.

What true church that is commanded to be separated from the world, would meet in a nightclub as Rock Harbor did in its past?  What church that believes the Bible is true and that women are to dress in bashfulness towards men as commanded, would put a cross next to a painting of a topless woman?

“COSTA MESA – It’s Palm Sunday at the Shark Club nightclub in Costa Mesa. Bibles lay on the ornate pool tables. Tattooed twenty-something are text-messaging furiously before the service. They sit on red velvet lounge chairs or bar stools under gleaming silver disco balls.

But the only thing on tap here is the grape juice for Communion.

A black curtain is draped over the bar, hiding the Bacardi, vodka and beer. A cross is propped next to a covered painting of a topless woman.”

“…They really know how to bring Christian relevance to our everyday atmosphere. It doesn’t feel that big to me,” said the marketing director of Fly by Night, a Huntington Beach disc jockey company.

“Here we are having church in a bar,” he said. “We’re not living in a Christian bubble. I came here once and was hooked ever since.”

From Rock Harbor’s websites:

“art as a bridge
art holds a significant place in our culture. movies, video, theatre, dance, and visual art are esteemed, explored and most importantly – understood in all areas of our society. we desire to use this common medium to communicate truth.”

http://www.rockharborswings.com/    At this link, you can view Rock Harbor’s advertisement for their swing  dances, promoted as a chance to get to know others. They invite the unsaved to partake as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBRgOz8kYDo  This sad, worldly video,  reveals the truth of what I am stating.  I do not recommend that men view this. If they desire to know what is taking place, I would ask for a wife or sister to watch.  This clip is of  a Rock Harbor dance team performing at Rick Warren’s church (Saddleback) that is homosexual affirming.  This video shows girls, girls, girls and men love to see them dance this way!  Christian men are called to view women in all chaste purity and anyone in their right mind recognizes this is not what this promotes.  (1 Timothy 5:2)   No church has a right to claim to be part of the body of Christ that engages in such lewdness.

http://www.rockharbor.org/files/artsnculture/newsletter%20june_julyupdate.pdf

In this newsletter (link above), they state “all styles of dance represented and welcomed!”  Yes, there is an exclamation point. They also promote a performance called “Funny Bone.”  They advertise it as being “hilarious and funny.”  Where are our churches going?  They are certainly apostate in every sense of the word.

Where in the Bible are we commanded to imitate culture? We are to hate this world and its productions, not mimic it for a trendy cultural look so the unsaved never witness the holy separated sacrifice.  True believers are hated by society’s culture  because they expose its sinful alluring agendas that spell “fun” for all. World = culture is a true equation.

________

John Calvin is also revered today in countless churches. He believed the human race would bruise satan on the head, not Jesus Christ when He conquered death through His tree of suffering and shame. …“we must necessarily come to one head, that we may find to whom the victory belongs … Wherefore, the sense will be (in my judgment) that the human race, which Satan was endeavouring to oppress, would at length be victorious.” Uplifting the sinful, vile human race is nothing new and uplifting false theologians who do so is nothing new.

When one truth of Scripture is thrown out the window, it opens all the windows for an invasion of lies. The Bible must be taught verse by verse, chapter by chapter with no compromise and with the listener’s ears wide open in this day and age of church apostasy. Scripture must be compared with Scripture in order for one not to be deceived. Man-made contrived interpretations must be confronted.

The church today wants to be worldly conforming, not separated from the world teachings, methodologies and terminologies. Most pastors do not want to stand on street corners preaching the Word of salvation or going door to door to reach the lost. They attempt to make the church look like the world and sound like the world so it is pleasing to all for numbers sake. They want mega churches and they want them their way without having to go out as the apostles and prophets exampled for all, for all ages. They were willing to die for the Gospel and did not seek to be viewed as cool, trendy and technology-wise.

The church is called the church because it is made up of believing Christians who abide in the truths of the Word of God (1 Corinthians 5:11 and 6:9-11). The church is to go out and save and then bring them in. I do not say true searching ones cannot be allowed in. Nevertheless, the church means the church of Jesus Christ, its Savior.

The church must shun Satan’s entertaining ways of allurement and return to the Biblical examples of reaching the lost. The church in general looks silly-stupid as it attempts to appear styling—holding to a rock-out mentality that uplifts Hollywood productions and present its own rock stars. And the apostate church craves Hollywood-like Gospel productions—the best in presentation.

It desires its own programs to be set before people like sitcoms. Very sick indeed! The contemporary mindset set forth is a lie from the pit of hell. Yet, contemporary-ism rules most churches.

I believe the church in general is walking the apostasy road because it craves the entertainers of the world and uplifts them as gods. Church attendees do not want to believe these live people-gods are of Satan and their idol entertainers are going to hell unless they repent of their ways. It is becoming more easy for church goers to believe everyone is going to reach heaven. The false teachers are tickling the ears of their make believe world. Christians no longer want to dwell on those things that are true, they relish the novel mentality.

The apostasy is becoming more grave as each day passes. May the church revive and come out from amongst them and be separate.

_________
This question was posed to me regarding “False Doctrine Beware.”

I must state first, in regards to Genesis 3:15, we are not dealing with an “it” as if in reference to the human race. “Heel” is in the masculine form. We also know from Romans 5:14-21, 1 Corinthians 15:21-25, etc. that this is a reference to Christ’s work. It was God’s prophecy concerning the Messiah. Calvin deliberately lied regarding God’s Word. The NASB states, “He (meaning the seed of God and man) shall bruise you (the serpent) on the head and you shall bruise Him (Jesus Christ) on the heel.” Satan knew exactly what this prophecy meant and that is why he wanted to murder Christ at His birth—Revelation 12:1-4)

Question:

“Where did you get the quote from John Calvin? The quotation says to me that those who come to the Head (Jesus Christ) will be victorious through what Jesus did on the cross for us. The victory belongs to us through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Here was my answer:

I trust you are being blessed today. Concerning Calvin, you can see his entire commentary on the bruising of Christ below.

It must be recognized Calvin, like false teachers today, spoke always out of both sides of his mouth. If you look at his commentary, you see that he speaks both ways. The “human race” is not the church though he tries to sound pious by ending his commentary, by slyly making it sound like the church. He talks like one from the Episcopalian church and the Episcopalian church loves Calvin. You must grasp the fact the “human race” is not the church as Calvin tries to infer. Only a very small fraction of the human race is saved and it consists of the “called out ones” from the human race. The Bible never refers to the church as the “human race.” The human race moves according to Satan’s influence. It will not destroy its own false god, Satan. Only Jesus Christ has that authority. Satan is still loose and roaming the earth.

The Seed is Christ, not the future generations that came from Eve, as explained by Calvin. Satan was not bound by the human race through future generations. The human race will never be victorious. The human race in general is bound for hell. Only the church is saved.

Calvin is wrong, the bruising did take place by one man only—Jesus Christ. When Paul refers to bruising in Romans 16:20 (see Calvin’s statements below), he is not referring to when Christ bruised Satan on the cross. We know Genesis 3:15 refers to the cross as it states to Satan, “you shall bruise Him on the heel.” Satan was not victorious in his attempt to destroy God on the cross.

And you must see, even from the Romans verse, that it states the LORD who will bruise Satan under the feet of the saints. We exalt only in Christ’s power not our own. We can do nothing apart from Him. What God is referring to in this verse in Romans is the fact Christ will usher in His kingdom following the tribulation (and will rule from Israel (Revelation 19:11-chapter 20). The bruising of Satan is not imparted to faithful men as Calvin states. It is through God and God alone. We cannot read into Scripture what is not there as Calvin consistently does.

Calvin lies and says the church has replaced Israel in his commentaries. He also stated that Christ did not die for all men. God is not a God of confusion, but Calvin is and so are his followers. Satan is the one whose doctrine never makes sense.

I hope you understand and see the truth.

Much love,

Val (Colossians 1:9-14)

http://www.biblestudyguide.org/comment/Calvin/comm_vol01/htm/ix.htm

Calvin Commentary Genesis 3:15:

It shall bruise. 45 This passage affords too clear a proof of the great ignorance, dullness, and carelessness, which have prevailed among all the learned men of the Papacy. The feminine gender has crept in instead of the masculine or neuter. There has been none among them who would consult the Hebrew or Greek codices, or who would even compare the Latin copies with each other. 46 Therefore, by a common error, this most corrupt reading has been received. Then, a profane exposition of it has been invented, by applying to the mother of Christ what is said concerning her seed.

There is, indeed no ambiguity in the words here used by Moses; but I do not agree with others respecting their meaning; for other interpreters take the seed for Christ, without controversy; as if it were said, that some one would arise from the seed of the woman who should wound the serpent’s head. Gladly would I give my suffrage in support of their opinion, but that I regard the word seed as too violently distorted by them; for who will concede that a collective noun is to be understood of one man only? Further, as the perpetuity of the contest is noted, so victory is promised to the human race through a continual succession of ages. I explain, therefore, the seed to mean the posterity of the woman generally. But since experience teaches that not all the sons of Adam by far, arise as conquerors of the devil, we must necessarily come to one head, that we may find to whom the victory belongs. So Paul, from the seed of Abraham, leads us to Christ; because many were degenerate sons, and a considerable part adulterous, through infidelity; whence it follows that the unity of the body flows from the head. Wherefore, the sense will be (in my judgment) that the human race, which Satan was endeavoring to oppress, would at length be victorious. 47 In the meantime, we must keep in mind that method of conquering which the Scripture describes. Satan has, in all ages, led the sons of men “captive at his will”, and, to this day, retains his lamentable triumph over them, and for that reason is called the prince of the world, (John 12:31.) But because one stronger than he has descended from heaven, who will subdue him, hence it comes to pass that, in the same manner, the whole Church of God, under its Head, will gloriously exult over him. To this the declaration of Paul refers,

“The Lord shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly,”
(Romans 16:20.)

By which words he signifies that the power of bruising Satan is imparted to faithful men, and thus the blessing is the common property of the whole Church; but he, at the same time, admonishes us, that it only has its commencement in this world; because God crowns none but well — tried wrestlers.

N. T. Wright – Not of God

Westminster Abbey

I  shot this photo when my husband and I vacationed in London

I was asked a question by a theologian of the Messianic sect, why I believe N. T. Wright (Bishop of Durham) is demon persuaded. Here is my answer composed in bits and pieces with quotes:

We know Christians respond to their heavenly Father, hopefully. Christ said of the religious leaders that they were of their father the devil; John 8:44. It also states here that every lie originates with Satan. N. T. Wright continually lies about God and His inerrant Word. We know from 2 Corinthians chapter 6 that either a person follows Christ or Satan, there is no in between. This is why we cannot be bound to unbelievers. Demons listen to their commander, performing his bidding.

Demons were presenting satan’s beliefs through the religious rulers of Christ day. The Pharisees, Sadducees and Scribes appeared religious with their long robes, Scriptural teachings, etc. However, they were of their father the devil as false teachers who added their own words and traditions to true beliefs. Satan and the religious rulers were intent on destroying God the Son.

Either people hold to the teachings of the Bible or of Satan and his demons. God gives no in between roadway.

New Perspective (Wright’s movement) uplifts the religious leaders of Christ’s day as actually being the good guys in certain realms. Such beliefs represent the doctrines of demons.

New Perspective on Paul is demonic as it teaches Paul was out for his own militaristic agendas, following his own drummer. The NPP philosophies are filled with heresies straight from the pit of hell. Satan is out to discredit God’s Word and he uses his children to do so.

Wright is called the “theologian for everyone” as he attempts to tickle everyone’s ear with demonic false doctrines approving of every demonic way under the sun. He rewrites the Bible according to Wright. He has created his own false religion whereby he continually speaks out both sides of his mouth. He never makes concrete sense. Much of the time he speaks nonsense—confusion. God is not a god of confusion; Satan and his demons author confusion. It is beyond me why he is considered a great theologian.

Paul was errorless  in his teachings, as they were the Words of God. No author of the Bible wrote his own words, only what the Holy Spirit instructed him to write.

We know Christ, who is God, never had to be vindicated by the Father as Wright states below. He, like all false teachers, blends truth with error. You see this all through Calvin’s writings as well and N. T. Wright uplifts Calvin.

From N. T. Wright:
Paul, it should be remembered, is one interpretation and experience of Christianity, and while it has become the dominant view it is, again, one of many threads existing in the earliest times after Jesus. When he’s wrong, he’s wrong. When he’s right, he’s astonishing.

For example, there are a few lines that, for me, should be kept within the soul and heart of every person who finds themselves attracted to the Jesus at the center of all that has been added, chiseled and carved to become Christianity. In 2 Corinthians 4:9, Paul writes:

“We are afflicted in every way but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our bodies.”

I maintain that is inspiration at its highest, an example of Paul soaring above the confines of his own more mundane and pointed interpretations of who Jesus (or, for him, the Christ) was as a kind of cosmic figure. Is there anything else we can think of to wish for from a religion? That the world will afflict us cannot be debated. We see it every day in our lives and the lives of others. Yet, says Christianity, we can not be crushed. We read the headlines and are perplexed by what we read, from deaths in Iraq to Russia, from crime at home to the troubles of thousands. Yet, Paul maintains, in spite of all this we do not have to make the choice to be driven to despair. Certainly, there are those who are persecuted — for their religion, the color of their skin, their sexual orientation. Then again, those victims will never be forsaken. Finally, we will be struck down by life, but cannot be ultimately destroyed by circumstances and events.

Because if in our mind and through our very body we carry the death of Jesus, we cannot help but carry the life of Jesus as well. We are, as the Episcopalians say in their services, part of the mystical body of Christ which, in itself, includes Jesus and includes the very Mystery that empowered Jesus.

Jesus, I believe, went to his death expecting to be vindicated by God. If the cup could not be lifted, Jesus said, so be it. His validation would come from his death in a way that he did not know based not on dogma but, rather, on belief born out of the exquisite personal relationship he knew with God. Certainly, through Paul we see glimpses elsewhere of the fact that Jesus was a man acted upon by God. His resurrection was a visible indication of an invisible operation in the Universe, one of hope and eventual vindication and victory.
In time, then, the closeness to the Eternal that Jesus invited us to became personified as Jesus himself, the historical person. It is that language we speak today in hymns and creeds, but it points beyond itself (as Jesus demanded again and again) not to the man of Nazareth himself, but to the Transcendent which poured forth through him, the vehicle.

A lady I once knew attended a Bible-believing church where the leadership claimed to not support NT Wright, but the Sunday she visited, the pastor referred to NT Wright as one of the greatest theologians of our day. Tom Wright is leading many down a road of deception.

____________

I Know N. T. Wright is of the evil one, as he does not condemn homosexuality and sexual promiscuity. Those who are of God, His born again children, teach that premarital sex, adultery, homosexuality, etc; is sinful. The Holy Spirit within a true believer reveals that God’s Word is inerrant. This includes the fact that adulterers and fornicators God will judge, but the marriage bed is undefiled. True aged believers understand Sodom and Gomorrah and Romans chapter 1.

In What St. Paul Really Said pgs.155-157 Wright does not in any way condemn pre-marital sex, etc. Wright states on page 156 that it is not to be ignored, denied or repressed according to Paul. But we know that outside of marriage it is vile and not of God. N. T. Wright states a demonic lie.

Wright: …it would be a more authentic position, I think, to say, as an intellectually authentic position to say the New Testament says that homosexual practice is not what Christians ought to engage in but I disagree for these reasons. Now I can understand that position. I can’t actually understand a position which says the New Testament is either silent or open on the subject because, frankly, it isn’t. The other thing which comes up again and again is people say, well, all they knew about was certain types of homosexual phenomena and not at all the sort of thing that we have, to which the answer is just go and read Plato. Plato’s Symposium has a lengthy discussion of homosexual love which includes as one of the options precisely the kind of long, stable partnership that some people now are advocating. And this in fact is not new. Modern homosexuality was not invented my Michael Fuko, you know. There’s a great deal that goes back through the 18th and 19th centuries with which we’re in a continuum. This is a much deeper and harder…
___________

N. T. Wright is an Anglican bishop at Westminster Abbey—a church that believes most everyone is going to heaven. I have been there. I have heard their demonic false teachings that please every ecumenical ear. If you spend time around these bishops, you can tell they are void of the Holy Spirit. They teach the doctrines of men as the doctrines of God. They are demonic and they are doing Satan’s bidding by sending the masses to hell. They implement New Age doctrines that cause people to question God and His inerrant Word. Wright tears God’s Word apart and replaces its truth with Wright’s mentality. He is an antichrist in every sense of the word.

Wright aligns himself with the bishops in this Abbey and all Anglican bishops. They tell the tourists who come to this abbey, that all the people who buried there are in heaven and visitors must feel so proud to be amongst these great people. They lead prayer in this vein. I know most of the nobility buried here where murderers, adulterers, thieves, tyrants, etc. The bishops state all of Britain’s royalty and noble are in heaven—all the vile of the earth who are buried in this Abbey. (Of course, Wrights view of heaven is not Biblical: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA0NLb0pXGI)

I must also ask, “How can a true born again Christian preach in a church that has Mary idols placed about and all kinds of secular stupidity?” What born again Christian is going to preach in a building full of crypts that hold the remains of godless people? Who in their right mind is going to uplift kings and queens who murdered Christians? These people are continually exalted by the Abbey bishops. This was where they held Princess Diana’s funeral and countless other vile people who lived sexually promiscuous lives and did not acknowledge Christ as their Savior and LORD. The bishops will say they all went to heaven. This is Westminster Abbey and Wright’s environment that he powerfully upholds.

____________

Wright definitely is not pro-Israel. A true child of God looks toward the removal of Israel’s enemies and Christ world rule in Jerusalem.

From Article:
Just consider Wright’s most recent commentary for Newsweek’s “On Faith,” anticipating the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Remarkably, Wright sees little difference between the ideals of Western democracies and those of Islamic terrorists. “What I wish we could say to terrorists and others: Look, we take our religion seriously too, and it leads us to different conclusions from you. We might be wrong; so might you; but in the name of whichever god you invoke, would it not be a better thing for us all to talk together about the issues at the heart of our respective faiths than to try to achieve dominance by violence?” Adding to the ambiguity, he closes with this line: “Unfortunately, they could quite well come back at us and say, ‘You mean, like you westerners have been doing in Iraq and Afghanistan for the last five years?'”

We expect to hear this sophism of moral equivalence from spokesmen at Al Jazeera television or the Arab League. Yet it somehow has emerged as a central argument in Wright’s critique of the war on radical Islam.

In his first major address on terrorism, “Where is God in the War on Terror?” Wright never mentioned the activities and ambitions of Osama bin Laden and his terrorist allies. He failed to cite any government assessments of the international terrorist threat. Al Qaeda and its operatives are plotting violence in 30 to 40 countries, are actively seeking nuclear material to detonate in urban centers, and are responsible for attacks that have killed or injured thousands of civilians in the last year alone–but you’d never know it from a speech approaching 8,000 words in length.

The bishop exudes moral outrage–but not at the extremists. Wright reserves the weight of his scorn for the United States and Great Britain and their foreign policies since the attacks of 9/11.

In the address in Durham, delivered last November, Wright condemned not only the war in Iraq, but also the U.S.-led coalition that toppled the Taliban in Afghanistan–a military offensive unanimously approved by the U.N. Security Council. He compared the United States to a “rogue elephant teased by a little dog,” staggering along on a militaristic rampage and “imposing the will of the West” on hapless populations. A first century historian, Wright can’t help but regard America as ancient Rome, nurturing similar imperial dreams: “All empires claim they possess justice, freedom and peace and that they have a duty to share these things with everybody else.” Imperialism, in fact, is a recurrent theme. “We have relied on the same methods as we used in the nineteenth century,” he said. “If in doubt, send in the gunboats and teach Johnny Foreigner a lesson he won’t forget.” And, as if the imperial metaphor weren’t crude enough, Wright reached for a cartoon reference: “The Superman myth, or the Captain America complex, has been shown to underlie the implicit narratives of generation after generation of American leaders,” he claimed, “generating the belief that the hero must use redemptive violence to restore the town, the country, the world to its proper state.”

Likewise, in his recent book, Evil and the Justice of God, Wright supposedly sets out to offer a sober reflection on evil in the age of terror. Too often, however, he descends into sloganeering, revisionist history, and downright incoherence. He chastises the “dualism” of the “us-and-them disjunction” that supposedly finds no fault with Western democracy. He characterizes the U.S.-led effort against radical Islam as a “knee-jerk, unthinking, immature lashing out” against its enemies, real and imagined. “Just as you cannot eliminate evil by act of Congress or by a philosophical argument,” he writes, “so you cannot do so with high explosives.”

Wright’s straw-man arguments all ignore the character and reach of militant Islam. A serious reading of the U.S. government’s most authoritative study on terrorism, the bi-partisan 9/11 Commission Report, would correct the deficit. “Bin Laden and Islamist terrorists mean exactly what they say: to them America is the font of all evil, the ‘head of the snake,’ and it must be converted or destroyed,” the commissioners concluded. “It is not a position with which Americans can bargain or negotiate.” The most recent National Intelligence Estimate of the threat of global terrorism confirms that view. Its authors believe that “the global jihadist movement” is spreading, adapting, and plotting new attacks on civilian targets. “We judge that most jihadist groups will attempt to conduct sustained terrorist attacks in urban environments.” No wonder, then, that the 9/11 Commission Report summarized the threat of al Qaeda thus: “With it there is no common ground–not even respect for human life–on which to begin a dialogue…

Wright follows the doctrines of demons. Every belief contrary to the Bible is a doctrine of satan. Wright would not have been accepted 50 years ago within Christendom. People today do not know their Bibles nor own the faith to believe them; they have quenched the work of the Holy Spirit. This is why Wright’s words are being received. We are in the age of the apostasy. Christians must wake up and walk by the Spirit and not the flesh. The flesh, the world and satan all function as one against God’s truths. A very wicked trio.
