My photo of the wagon ruts left in the ground from the Oregon or Overland Trail passage in Southern Idaho. Oxen with yokes attached to wagons (Prairie Schooners) were used to traverse most of the overlanders to the Oregon Territory.

Yokes for Jeremiah

In this chapter, we are cast forward regarding the timeline of the book of Jeremiah. Once again, we read of the reign of Judah’s last king—King Zedekiah. Visual pictures are a continuance through this remarkable book. In verse 2, Jeremiah is instructed by God to put himself in yokes. Just as yokes would go around the necks of oxen so were these to be placed on Jeremiah’s neck. No . . . not too comfortable, but neither was the arriving judgment of God.

It was yoked oxen which pulled the wheels that brought the immigrants over the Overland Trail or Oregon Trail; whereby they passed through southern Idaho. Pioneers had to walk beside their oxen cracking a whip.

We can still view the ruts of the wagon wheels to this day around this area. Boise’s Overland Road is named such as this is where a portion of the Oregon Trail traversed. At times, the wagons crossing the wilderness were a mile wide.

In verse 3, we see several kings mentioned, including Zedekiah. The kings mentioned here are far fewer than those recorded in chapter 25; seven or more years earlier. King Nebuchadnezzar had already taken many captives from Judah—10,000. And he probably demolished several of the nations listed in chapter 25 in accordance with God’s prophecy of doom illustrated through the “cup of the wine of wrath.”

Remember, King Zedekiah was a puppet king to King Nebuchadnezzar till he decided to rebel. We observe some of this rebellion in these verses. All these kings are conspiring to make an alliance against King Nebuchadnezzar. They all desire the defeat of this king who demands world allegiance.

Jeremiah was to converse with all these nations’ representatives when they arrived in Jerusalem to meet with King Zedekiah. Of course, he would be wearing this yoke about his neck. Yes, he would look a bit odd, but he did not care if he was different as his life was not his own and he was not called to impress anyone or to blend in with the styling ways of the day. If he cared what people thought, he would have never yielded to God’s calling. We too are called to be strange and different as Christ’s children, never blending in with the vile culture of our day. We are God’s peculiar people!

Yes, Jeremiah certainly appeared peculiar to these men who were worldly-impressive as they would not have appeared in rags nor lacked social protocol when they stood before the king of Judah.

In verse 5, God reveals His omnipotence once again. We read in 23:24 that He fills the heavens and the earth and what is penned here certainly walks hand and hand with this truth. Christ has made all things; all things were made by Him and for Him as recorded in Colossians chapter 1 and in other passages.

How spectacular to contemplate as we read verse 5, that God made all things by His “great power” and “outstretched arm.” Also, no one rules in power apart from His say. This is another truth we can personally soak-in to further understand our supreme LORD God. He only allows those to reign who are part of His plan which may mean to discipline His people. Of course, they may not be righteous, but they are the ones who ultimately fulfill His predestined plan. King Nebuchadnezzar was not righteous in any way, shape or form at this time. He was an idol or image worshipper and one who did not fear God. He was all about worshipping the arts made by man’s hands, never considering who made the heavens or the earth or so it appears. Later, we know this all changed to God’s glory.

Verse 6 states, God has given King Nebuchadnezzar all the lands these ambassadors cohesively represent down to the wild animals. He will possess all these nations, including Judah, and all the roaming, untamed beasts! I believe the “wild animals” are mentioned as these will devour all the bodies left after King Nebuchadnezzar’s wild horsemen plow through the land.

In this verse, God again calls King Nebuchadnezzar His servant as he is fulfilling His plan though he does not know it. God emphasizes every nation will serve this king as the first world ruler. (Mystery Babylon of Revelation is named after King Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon. The antichrist will be a world ruler as a type of King Nebuchadnezzar who was entirely ruthless in obtaining power and lands. We can understand much of Revelation by studying Babylon in the Scriptures with its idolatrous culture.) They will also serve his son and grandson, Nabonidus and Belshazzar as they co-ruled subsequently. Here also is the prediction of the fall of Babylon which occurred under Cyrus II of Persia in 539 BC. It was Cyrus II, also called Cyrus the Great, who allowed the Jews to return with all the articles that were removed from the temple; Ezra 1:6 and following.

God asserts in verse 8 that every nation is to put its neck under the yoke of Babylon in order to live and be preserved as illustrated by Jeremiah’s prop.

Visual aids certainly assist with one’s memory. Seeing, reading and hearing can leave lasting impressions in our mind’s eye. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is bad. Many people have nightmares resulting from a shocking, tragic memory that left visual slides revolving through their minds. As a young girl, I had nightmares for months after I walked through my friend’s fire-devoured home. The scenes of charred black kept replaying themselves, and also knowing of her charred cats. And after a home fire, who can forget that deadly, scorching scent.

Who in the world truly wants to experience hell’s fire?

When these prophesied, future events of murderous rampage overtook these nations, this visual of forewarning must have replayed through the minds of those who experienced this reality.

Verse 9 is entirely interesting, exposing the fact satan is working in the same manner in all these nations. Judah’s prophets and the foreign soothsayers were all prophesying the same positive message. The prediction was, all will be well; the lie of health, wealth and prosperity. However, God says we do not know what a day may bring!

In this verse, we read the satanic ways of witchcraft through diviners, soothsayers, and dreamers. These are things God commands we not partake in through any form. We are always to learn the ways of God, never the ways of the evil one. God’s Word is all we need to gain an understanding of the spiritual battle. We never want to enter this realm through any door!  The future belongs only to our righteous and holy God.

Harry Potter books and movies and other sorcery resources allure people into this satanic dominion of frightening bondage. Also, the ever-present new spirituality in our churches which covet the mystic ways of Catholicism in this day and age of the apostasy. It is the way of ecumenicalism that will one day take the stage entirely after the rapture of the church. And later, in the tribulation, all will worship satan’s talking idol, that of the antichrist, that we read regarding in Revelation chapter 13.

Some years ago, my husband and I listened to a missionary from Haiti where witchcraft abounds. This is a very wicked and unblessed nation. He revealed a witchdoctor lived next door and another down the street. Most every person was in bondage to satan. He and his wife never found anything positive in this all-dark nation. Fortunately, they were blessed to see some Haitians saved; whereby, they created a small church. This was the only uplifting thing they witnessed on this bizarre island that experienced continuous catastrophes.

If America keeps holding tightly to witchcraft books, movies and music, our nation is headed for a dark future. All these things spell unremitting tragic destruction for any country.

Satan is the father of lies and we see this in verse 11. Satan always desires that evil fall upon all; and here, he is using false teachers and occultists to bring this to pass. God reveals they are lying. The people who teach falsely know they are following satan through feeding people lies as they desire malevolence. Anyone who teaches contrary to God’s Word is filled with all vileness.

God continuously offers His message of hope and a way of escape even to these vile, heathen nations. He commands, submit to Babylon and you can remain in your land where you can “till it.”

God offers a simple way out, but does Judah or the other nations listen? NO! Today God offers a way out of hell, but only a few follow as the road is narrow.

Jeremiah relays in verse 12, he obeyed God and spoke all the words of hope; if they would just put on the yoke of King Nebuchadnezzar, they would live. Here, prophecy is exclusively directed to the Jewry.

Verse 13 is a question; Jeremiah is pleading for the Jews to listen to his pleas and tell him if they will obey God. He wants them to say, “Yes” to his query. Jeremiah doesn’t want his people to perish.

Jeremiah commands in verse 14 that they not listen to their false teachers—God never sent them; verse 15. And God never sent many of the pastors who stand in our church pulpits today, those who have their own agendas and beliefs.

More lies from the false prophets are put forth in verse 16. They are saying the vessels of the temple are going to be returned shortly.  Remember, Daniel 1:2 tells us, when Daniel and the others were taken captive, King

Nebuchadnezzar took with him “the vessels of the LORD’S house.”

What we have here is positive thinking. The prophets are attempting to instill positive thinking into these people’s minds. Satan knows what people want . . . positive prosperity messages with a few verses thrown in. Today’s believers desire this approach and it is given more prominence than exhortations on holy, pure and separated living.

God and Jeremiah want these people to live and the city of Jerusalem to survive, verse 17, so they continue their pleas, requesting the Jews surrender to Babylon. It is God’s conditions only that will bless.

God additionally desires the remaining vessels of His house not go to Babylon. He exhorts the false prophets to pray for the vessels to remain. This would be a sign they were true prophets not false, as they would desire the ways of God; verse 18. Of course, they aren’t God’s servants and they are not going to reach out to a holy LORD and request this.

God doesn’t listen to the prayers of the ungodly anyway. If they did pray such a prayer, they would be admitting Jeremiah’s prophecy is from God.

The remaining vessels of the LORD’S house are listed in verse 19 such as the pillars which were richly crafted in bronze work and the brass sea (large washbasin for the priests for ceremonial cleansing). Please read 1 Kings 7:13-26 for their descriptions.

Regarding the “sea,” the priests had to cleanse themselves, their hands and their feet before performing service for the LORD. This ritual was certainly a symbol of the importance of inward purity. Of course, water could never cleanse the priests inwardly. We know today this can only come through Christ’s atonement; not through the blood of bulls and goats the priests sacrificed nor ceremonial washings. It is disheartening the Jews of today cannot see how the Old Testament temple ceremonies pointed to Christ and His blood sacrifice.

Verse 20 reminds us that during the time King Jeconiah AKA Jehoiachin, the main captivity took place. This occurred exactly according to Jeremiah’s predictions though he was still mocked and ignored.

It states here, the remaining temple vessels were not removed at this time by King Nebuchadnezzar. Of course, we know they were not removed as it was not God’s will as He oversees all.

We know it was God’s desire and timing for them to be deported when the King of Babylon exiled the remaining Jews.

God’s protection over these vessels is disclosed in verse 22; He would not allow them to be destroyed in order to return them to the new temple when the Jews returned to the land. God ensured they were completely unscathed for their homecoming as we read above in Ezra 1. We also read how they were protected in Daniel chapter 5.

In Him who fills the heavens and the earth; 23:24.

Sex Abuse in Calvary Chapels

Beyond Grief:

The info below is devastating; however, expected in our churches that love the sensuality of rock music and Hollywood agendas, coupled with demonism.

In the name of New Spirituality, anything goes and I know this to be a fact. If you disagree, you are targeted.  Many pastors today move like the Mafia to silence those who take a stand against the worldly church that they call the contemporary church. Despite Biblical commands and warnings, they seek to maintain a pious look in replication of the liberal Sadducees and Pharisees; Matthew 23:125-28.

There are many cases of child abuse in Bible churches in today’s world. Known pedophiles are allowed in churches.  I know a case where a mother felt forced to remove her sweet boys from a church in Washington state to protect them from the present pedophiles.  Only those who abide in the teachings of Christ are to be allowed in the church; 2 John, 1 Corinthians 5:9f, and 2 Corinthians chapter 6. Of course, those who truly want to hear the Gospel should be welcomed as well; Jude 22-23.

The Bible never lies!  It is to be our only source of truth.  (1 John 5:10-13—the Bible)  Paradise

Church Child Abuse in Calvary Chapels from Lighthouse Trials Publishers:

In this story, you will learn that a Calvary Chapel youth worker who had a history of committing child molestation was allowed to remain working with youth at Calvary Chapel churches. Sadly, a number of Calvary Chapel pastors knew about the abuser’s history. The result was that at least four other boys were allegedly sexually abused. We strongly suspect that as this story unfolds others will come forward with their own stories. While we realize that sexual abuse of children happens within every denomination (not to mention the horrendous abuses within the Roman Catholic Church covered up for years), the Calvary Chapel structure where the pastor is in full charge and where the whole movement is basically under the authority of one man makes it very susceptible to abuse and cover up as there is not a good accountability structure for pastors and youth pastors. What’s more, it creates an environment, not of humility by leaders, but rather one of power, manipulation, and control. In virtually every story we have heard from those who have contacted us about having to leave a Calvary Chapel church, the common element in each story was a lack of regard for church members and a power play by church pastors. These things ought not to be so as Christian pastors and leaders are to be servants of the people, not heavy-handed arrogant controllers. We remember the words of Chuck Colson (sorry to say he is ecumenical) in talking about his role in Watergate when he said that the two worst things to happen to a Christian leader is power and money.

The Christian church is in trouble, but not for the reasons that Rick Warren supporter and pollster George Barna gives. His statistics do not portray an accurate picture but are rather used to promote the “new” Christianity.”  The Christian church is in trouble largely because those leading the evangelical/Protestant Christian church –  publishers, prolific authors, organizations, ministries, radio and television stations, mega pastors, speakers, futurists, networks, colleges and seminaries, etc. – are embracing an emerging, contemplative, sensual, power-purpose-driven “gospel.”  For true revival to happen, there must be repentance and humility. God will not work in any other environment. It is interesting to watch dominionist-type figures running around the country telling people to repent to “restore” America when they themselves have not repented and are totally misrepresenting true Christianity.

But God will not be mocked, and He will expose the hidden things of darkness, both in the leader’s life and the follower’s life …

Lest any reading this thinks that his or her denomination is without fault, virtually every denomination, to one degree or another, has succumbed to the “new” spirituality. And one of the key elements in the “new” spirituality is sensualness. This is why books like The Shack and practices like contemplative are so popular – it appeals to people’s senses; thus they are sensual. The word sensual means gratification of the flesh be it appetite, sexual, physical, etc. James 3:15 puts sensualness in the same  category as earthly and devilish. And below we can see where Jude says those who are sensual do not have the Spirit.

To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. Jude 1:15-19

Roger Oakland’s strong warning to Christian leaders:

Christian pastors and leaders need to know – your sin will indeed find you out. Better to willingly humble yourself and repent than to wait for God to bring His hand of judgment upon you. If you are a leader who is part of the apostasy come out from among her; if you are a leader who is sitting on the sidelines in utter silence while spiritual havoc is taking place, humble yourself and repent and you too, come out from among her. The days are short – there is no time for any believer to compromise …

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1:20-25

… let us not forget the boys in this case, who were sexually abused. Please pray for them. In view of the APA’s (American Psychological Association) recent efforts to call pedophilia “normal,” it is all the more urgent for discerning Christians to speak up on behalf of children in a godly and responsible manner.

Roger Oakland:

This is truly a heartbreaking situation. We are grieved and troubled that we even have to draw your attention to what is now being revealed to the body of Christ about what has been going on and even covered up by Christian leaders who many respect. The cause of Christ has certainly been damaged. Our prayer is that the sheep will have the wool removed from covering their eyes and will begin looking to Jesus. For the record, I am sad to say there is much more to come. So far, within the leadership of the movement, NO one has listened. Their only response is that I am crazy. I think it is a sad thing when the world has to expose the Church because there is no one in the church to do it.

Everyone knows about the Catholic Diocese of Orange and its pedophile-protecting ways . . . but Orange County’s other Christian yahoo network has had its kiddie-diddling scandals as well–except Calvary Chapel does a much-better job hiding its tracks, signing settlements that remain under seal. I should get to exposing those, and will after I finish a couple of projects, but nice to see others aren’t waiting.

In a blockbuster case filed August 9 in Idaho’s First Judicial District Court, four men allege various Calvary Chapel pastors knew they had a pedophile on their hands when they allowed Anthony Iglesias to continue working for the ministry at their North Country Chapel branch in Idaho, where he abused the men when they were boys. The lawsuit claims that not only did Iglesias get collared for molesting a boy while serving as a youth minister at Calvary Chapel Golden Springsin Diamond Bar, but that his bosses allowed him to go off to Idaho and allowed him to return to Idaho after molesting boys on a Thailand missionary trip. Click here to continue reading. Teen Talk – Christian Rock and Roll Unvield

Dear readers,

Here are some testimonies from teens to consider. The web link is below.

Teen Talk

“‘Christian rock’ music has probably been the biggest hindrance to my spiritual growth. When I first heard this kind of music, it really bothered my spirit. But then this music was brought into my church. The more I heard it, the less it bothered me. The less it bothered me, the more I listened to it.

“It wasn’t long before I was involved in secular rock music because I didn’t see any difference. This music caused me to resist the Lord and hold parts of my life back from Him. I was not able to have a freedom to truly serve Him and be totally dedicated to Him until I was willing to give up this music.”

A Sixteen-Year-Old Student From Florida

“I listened to rock music for about four years and it was not ‘Christian rock’ because I always thought it was so hypocritical to listen to Christian rock. At least I was honest about it and I did not pretend to be somebody I wasn’t.

“So, after the first couple of times I was already addicted to it. The reason I started is because everybody always thought I was, ‘goody-goody.’ They would say, ‘Hey, did you hear that song?’ or ‘Have you ever heard this group?’ I would say, ‘No, I don’t listen to rock.’ “I began by listening to ‘soft rock’ and progressed to heavy metal. It really had a strong effect on my life. Now my church plays ‘Christian rock’ and I see it ruining many kids in our youth group. It is so sad. It has ruined kids that were so sweet.”

A Sixteen-Year-Old Student From Texas

“I was following the Lord wholeheartedly until we switched churches and I was invited to the new youth group. I had a conviction against rock music, but as I was surrounded by it, my beliefs were corrupted. This music eventually led to rebellion and moral failures. The Lord has gained victory in my life now, but the music still brings on rebellion if I listen to it. Please get rid of this music and play melodious, harmonious music!”

A Fifteen-Year-Old Student From Pennsylvania

“‘Christian rock’ had made me a shallow, rebellious young Christian. It made it easy for me to get into regular rock music. When I finally submitted to God and got the rock music out of my life, I was able to see the double standard that is lived out by ‘Christian rock’ musicians.

” ‘Christian rock’ does not praise God and it is worse than regular rock because I think it is hypocritical. Rock is wrong and addictive and has contributed to my moral failure. I praise God for His help in releasing me from it.”

An Eighteen-Year-Old Student From Indiana

“About four years ago, a local Christian radio station began broadcasting ‘rock’ of the ‘Christian variety.’ At first, I accepted only the light stuff. Within months, I found myself listening to heavier and heavier stuff. I thank God that my parents and I came to an agreement on the music I will listen to. I can see how it has affected the lives of some who at one time were my closest friends. I still enjoy easy classical music, but they are into heavy worldly rock and the lifestyle that goes with it. Just a few weeks ago, God convicted me of what I once considered super-soft, contemporary music. I threw the tape away and thank God for the conviction that brought me to do it.”

A Twenty-Year-Old Student From Kansas

“I began to listen to ‘Christian rock’ without the blessing of my father. He told me that if I listened to ‘Christian rock’ it would open the door for Satan. I just laughed, and listened anyway. It totally deadened my Christian growth and led to terrible immorality, rebellion, and rejection of God. It then developed into secular, hard rock. Now all I can do is go back and pick up the pieces. But I still have a scar in my life that will never be removed.”

A Sixteen-Year-Old Student From Oklahoma

There are many more such testimonies:

“But whoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Matthew 18:6)

Condensed and edited:

Christian Rockers and Secular Rockers United

The following examples could be multiplied endlessly:

AUDIO ADRENALINE’S Bloom album includes the song “Free Ride” from the Edgar Winter Group’s They Only Come out at Night album. Rock star Edgar Winter was featured on the cover of this wicked album dressed as a homosexual “drag queen.” The lyrics to “Free Ride” claim that “all of the answers come from within.” This is rank heresy, because we know that the answers do not come from within man’s fallen heart, but from God’s revelation in the Bible.

FOURTH WATCH cites groups like U2, the Police, Genesis, Pete Townshend, and the Alarm as major influences. “MEMBERS LISTEN TO A GREAT DEAL OF MAINSTREAM MUSIC, MAKING NO APOLOGIES FOR IT, and they express a desire to play clubs and other non-church settings” (CCM Magazine, April 1987, p. 19).

RANDY STONEHILL “listens to all kinds of music,” including hard secular rock (Devlin Donaldson, “Rockin’ Randy,” CCM Magazine, August 1983).

PHIL KEAGGY performs an unholy combination of secular rock and Christian rock/folk, and those who listen to his music are drawn toward worldly rock & roll. On his 1993 Crimson and Blue album, for example, he pays “homage to the Beatles” by covering several of their songs.

When ASHLEY CLEVELAND was asked what music was on her stereo, she replied, “Living With Ghosts, Patty Griffin; What’s The Story Morning Glory, Oasis; Exile On Main Street, the Rolling Stones” ( In her concerts, Ashley performs a very gritty rendition of the Rolling Stones hit “Gimme Shelter.”

CAEDMON’S CALL said their greatest love in music is secular rock. They mentioned Indigo Girls, Shawn Colvin, David Wilcox, The Police, Fishbone, 10,000 Maniacs (Lighthouse Electronic Magazine). The group often performs Beatles music. Cliff Young said one of his favorites is the foul-mouthed Alanis Morrisette. He mocked a preacher who warns that Christian musicians should not listen to secular rock and said that he listens to secular rock & rollers because “they are being honest [about] struggles that they go through.”

STEVE CAMP says, “I’ll have a Foreigner 4 album going in my car.” He also says: “I am dedicated to good music whether it’s pop, Christian, gospel, R&B, blues, jazz,
classical, rock or whatever. I just love good music” (Steve Camp, MusicLine magazine, Feb. 1986, p. 22).

JARS OF CLAY names Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles as their inspiration (Dann Denny, “Christian Rock,” Sunday Herald Times, Bloomington, Ind., Feb. 8, 1998). The lead guitarist for Jars of Clay is said to be a “Beatles fanatic” (Christian News, Dec. 8, 1997). When asked by Christianity Today to list their musical influences, Jars of Clay members “listed no Christian artists” (Christianity Today, Nov. 15, 1999). Jars of Clay performs Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” during their concerts. Osbourne is the filthy-mouthed former lead singer for the occultic rock group Black Sabbath.

Dana Key (of DEGARMO & KEY) says that he has been influenced most by B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, and Billy Gibbons (of ZZ Top) (CCM Magazine, January 1989, p. 30).

POINT OF GRACE, on their Life, Love and Other Mysteries album, recorded “Sing a Song” by the occultic, antichrist rock group Earth, Wind and Fire.

The worldliness of DELIRIOUS is evident in their choice of “musical heroes,” which include “Radiohead, Blur and other big British modern rockers” (CCM magazine, July 1999, p. 39).

The group DELIVERANCE performs songs by secular rock groups. Their What a Joke album has the song “After Forever” by the vile, blasphemous, pagan rock group Black Sabbath.

When asked what is currently in her CD player, CRYSTAL LEWIS replied: “Michael Jackson, Thriller; Billy Holliday; Led Zeppelin; Radiohead, Ok Computer; Radiohead, Kid A; and Sting, Nothing Like the Sun (“Ten Questions with Chrystal Lewis,” CCM Magazine, March 2002).

The popular group THIRD DAY also loves secular rock. Michael Herman of Christianity Today asked the members of Third Day to “name a musician you’d pay to see in concert.” All five members of the band named secular rockers. Tai named U2; Brad, the Cars; David, Phil Collins; Mac, Tom Petty; and Mark, George Harrison (“Guy Talk” interview posted at Christianity Today web site, Feb. 26, 2002). Anyone familiar with the music and atmosphere at secular rock concerts should know that a Bible believer has no business there. “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Eph. 5:11).

In the video for the Rock & Worship Roadshow Tour (2011), MERCYME covers the Beatles song “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.”

Why is it that contemporary Christian musicians can be so comfortable with secular rock? I believe it is because so many CCM artists worship a false god.

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

Rock music is clearly characterized by “the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life.” A better definition has never been written.

James warned that it is spiritual adultery to love the world and God, too.

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God” (James 4:4).

One reason why contemporary Christian music lovers do not separate from rock & roll is that they worship the same god as secular rockers.

It is the god that is experienced through sensual passions.

As we have seen, rock & rollers can be religiously passionate about their music and they often speak of it in terms of a spiritual experience.

The Doors wanted their audience “to undergo a religious experience.”

Bob Marley’s concerns were “like church … a spiritual high.”

Grateful Dead concerts are “a place to worship” and “bear uncanny resemblance to religious festivals.”

Muddy Waters said that “blues was his religion.”

Judas Priest said that rock music isn’t just music; it’s “a philosophy and a way of life.”

Michael Jackson said, “When I am dancing, I have felt touched by something sacred.”

George Harrison said, “Music is very involved with the spiritual.”

Brian Eno described his discovery of rock & roll as “a spiritual experience.”

Obviously, these rockers are not talking about having communion with the God of the Bible. They worship a different god. He is non-judgmental, sensual, even sexual, and puts no obligations on people, letting them “follow their hearts.”

This is exactly the god worshiped by many CCM artists.

The false CCM non-judgmental, universalistic god is represented by emerging church leaders such as Brian McLaren and Rob Bell, both of whom are very popular with CCM artists. One Christian rocker told us that these writings “resonate” with him.

The “old-fashioned” Bible believer says with the writer of Hebrews, “Our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29). The emerging church says, “Our God is not a consuming fire.”

Rocking Rob Bell believes God is more akin to New Age panentheism than the God of the Bible. He describes God as “a force, an energy, a being calling out to us in many languages, using a variety of methods and events” (Love Wins, location 1710-1724).

“There is an energy in the world, a spark, an electricity that everything is plugged into. The Greeks called it zoe, the mystics call it ‘Spirit,’ and Obi-Wan called it ‘the Force’” (Love Wins, location 1749-1762).

Many of the CCM artists worship A REBEL CHRIST, which is certainly a false christ. Mark Stuart of Audio Adrenaline says, “Jesus Christ is the biggest rebel to ever walk the face of the earth” (Pensacola News Journal, Pensacola, Fla., March 1, 1998, pp. 1, 6E). Sonny of P.O.D. says, “We believe that Jesus was the first rebel; the first punk rocker” ( This is absolute blasphemy. The Bible says rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Sam. 15:23). A rebel is a lawbreaker, but Christ was the lawgiver who He came to earth to fulfill the requirements of His own law (Mat. 5:17-19). Christ was not crucified for rebellion; He was crucified for testifying that He is God (John 10:33).

Many of the CCM artists worship A ROCK & ROLL PARTY CHRIST. In his Live … Radically Saved video Carman says, “Jesus is always cool; He’s got his thing together.” In Resurrection Rap Carman portrays Jesus as a street hippie; in The Standard he calls Jesus “J.C.”; and in Addicted to Jesus he speaks of “Jammin’ with the Lamb.” Petra claims that “God gave rock and roll to you/ Put it in the soul of every one.” In “Party in Heaven” the Daniel Band sang, “The Lamb and I are drinkin’ new wine.” Phil Driscoll says, “God is the King of Soul; He’s the King of all rhythm” (quoted by Tim Fisher, Battle for Christian Music, p. 82). Messiah Prophet Band says, “Jesus is the Master of Metal,” and Barren Cross says, “Better than pot, Jesus rocks.” John Fischer described God as puffing on a cigar and swaying to rock music (CCM Magazine, July 1984, p. 20), while J. Lee Grady says Jesus enjoys dancing with the angels and “grooving to the sound of Christian R&B pumped out of a boom box” (Charisma, July 2000).

The fact that the CCM crowd typically worships a different kind of god than the “old-fashioned” Biblicist, is why they are perfectly comfortable using music that has been identified as “sexy” by the secular world.

“… that is what rock is all about–sex with a 100-megaton bomb, the beat” (Gene Simmons of KISS, Entertainment Tonight, ABC, Dec. 10, 1987).

Note that Simmons was not referring to the words of rock music; he was referring to the music itself and particularly to its backbeat rhythm.

Music researchers Daniel and Bernadette Skubik, in their study on the neurophysiology of rock music, warned:

“Whether the words are evil, innocuous, or based in Holy Scripture, the overall neurophysiological effects generated by rock music remain the same. There is simply no such thing as Christian rock that is substantively different in its impact” (“The Neurophysiology of Rock,” an Appendix to Ken Blanchard’s Pop Goes the Gospel, pp. 187ff).

The reason this statement doesn’t bother a CCM defender is because he sees Jesus as a non-judgmental rock & roll party Dude who loves a good time.

“Those who envision God as a special friend, a kind of lover, with whom they can have fun, see no problem in worshipping him by means of physically stimulating music. On the other hand, those who perceive God as a majestic, holy, and almighty Being to be approached with awe and reverence will only use the music that elevates them spiritually” (Samuele Bacchiocchi, The Christian and Rock Music).

This all reveals the satanic church in all its glory. I mean Bible churches of today who call themselves Christian; yet, approve of so-called Christian contemporary groups and singers that adore satan worshipping rockers that hate the holy and undefiled LORD Jesus Christ; Hebrews 7:26.

History of Rock and Roll

The phrase “Rock and Roll” was first used back in 1951 by Cleveland music disc jockey Allan Freed to as a description relating to the sound of teenagers committing fornication (premarital sex), such as in the back seat of a car while listening to such rock music. “Rock and Roll Music” is therefore by definition a synonym for “Fornication Music”, since that is where the term arose. “Christian Rock Music”, (also known as “Contemporary Christian Music”), therefore literally means “Christian Fornication Music.”

The Bible says, “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;” (Ephesians 5:3). All Christians are to “Flee fornication.” (1 Corinthians 6:18a)

Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) is mostly wicked in intent. It is formatted to get the young and old acclimated to the world’s sexy beat. CCM mainly consists of the “Rock And Roll” beat. Contemporary means worldly or of today’s society. The only reason you have Christian rock music is because satan has rock music. If satan and his followers had not invented sexy rock music, there would be no Christian rock.

Condensed Information from Way of Life:

The following statement from the Extreme Theology website for December 9, 2006, describes a video on YouTube of a Saddleback “Worship” Concert that featured vulgar “pelvic thrust” rock moves.

“This is a video of a Saddleback Worship Concert. There are teenage girls doing dance moves that include Pelvic Thrusts. Is this really worship to the one true God of the Bible or is this worship to one of those pagan sex gods? You be the judge?.

“Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire’ (Matthew 7:17-19).”

Unfortunately, there are several posted immodest and vile videos of Saddleback dances, including swing dance footage. No man should be allowed to view them!

Most so-called Christians thrive on secular and Christian rock and no one had better say a word against it either, or they are ridiculed in the church. They can also be formally church disciplined for judging this beat of fornication.

How can anyone be a Christian and love satan’s world of vile indecency and Biblical blasphemy presented in song and the rock beat? Rockers present a false jesus who loves satan and his every unchaste way. This is one reason many women in churches today have no problem showing cleavage and upper leg. They dress to please satan, their sensual god who loves to rock out in all sexiness.

Sex, drugs, rebellion, and demonism are all symbolic of fornication music. This is why churches are tolerant of most anything today, except those who desire to be separated from the world—culture and society.

Man in Street with Message

May countless men come forth to preach the Bible in the streets as this man. When we were in London, a man standing on a small box was preaching outside the Tower of London

My husband and other men were involved in street corner preaching in the eastern states of America a few years after our marriage. The women did not preach (of course); however, we presented our testimonies.

Pornography Study Facts

A new secular study has been released that reveals the abrasive truths of pornography:

A few facts from this report:

Men who view pornography regularly have a higher tolerance for abnormal sexuality, including rape, sexual aggression, and sexual promiscuity.

Prolonged consumption of pornography by men produces stronger notions of women as commodities or as “sex objects.”

Pornography engenders greater sexual permissiveness, which in turn leads to a greater risk of out-of-wedlock births and STDs. These, in turn, lead to still more weaknesses and debilities.

Child-sex offenders are more likely to view pornography regularly or to be involved in its distribution.

A lady, a few months ago, told me her husband counsels many pastors in the Boise, Idaho area and they are into pornography. Why these men are still in the pulpit is beyond me. They should not be allowed in the church until they fully repent in true deep sadness and reveal total hatred toward the sin. A pastor must be above reproach in every way.

Today’s churches allow every evil thing in the door in the name of tolerance. The sexually deviant should not even be allowed in the doors of fellowships. Christians are not allowed to associate with those who call themselves believers and are sexually immoral; 1 Corinthians 5:11 and 6:9.

Many in our churches are addicted to the sinful, bodily revealing vise of pornography. Most anything is endorsed in our fellowships because many leaders are into pornography and rock music. I believe immodesty and sexual moves, often seen in churches, are motivated by the present rock music and the indecent things set before the eyes of church attendees.

These facts certainly pose my question, “How many pastors and congregational members have been actually washed in the saving blood of the Lamb?” The pastors who have opposed me for not being pornography-tolerant, have been deceitful Calvinists and I would never confirm their salvation. When you follow a man instead of a holy God, you can justify anything and engage in everything until you are caught.

God never lies nor His Word. We are to walk in holy uprightness and not allow the world and its immodest and impure ways to stain us. We are called to be a peculiar people, not fashioned by those who endorse this world. We are commanded to come out to be separated, being consecrated unto God alone and His callings for us. If we are true believers, we will seek after the holy, pure, and modest. We will separate from any cultural questionable way. We will hunger and thirst for the Word of God and strive to obey it. It is holy, inerrant, immutable, and never changes. The true God of Scripture is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He will not revise Himself to please a postmodern sensual church society.
